About mass spectrometry ...

Mass spectrometry (MS) is an analytical technique for the determination of the elemental composition of a sample or molecule. It is also used for elucidating the chemical structures of molecules, such as peptides and other chemical compounds. The MS principle consists of ionizing chemical compounds to generate charged molecules or molecule fragments and measurement of their mass-to-charge ratios.

In a typical MS procedure:

1. a sample is loaded onto the MS instrument, and undergoes vaporization.
2. the components of the sample are ionized by one of a variety of methods (e.g., by impacting them with an electron beam), which results in the formation of charged particles (ions)
3. the positive ions are then accelerated by an electric field
4. computation of the mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of the particles based on the details of motion of the ions as they transit through electromagnetic fields, and
5. detection of the ions, which in step 4 were sorted according to m/z.

MS instruments consist of three modules:
1. an ion source, which can convert gas phase sample molecules into ions (or, in the case of electrospray ionization, move ions that exist in solution into the gas phase);
2. a mass analyzer, which sorts the ions by their masses by applying electromagnetic fields;
3. a detector, which measures the value of an indicator quantity and thus provides data for calculating the abundances of each ion present.

The technique has both qualitative and quantitative uses. These include identifying unknown compounds, determining the isotopic composition of elements in a molecule, and determining the structure of a compound by observing its fragmentation. Other uses include quantifying the amount of a compound in a sample or studying the fundamentals of gas phase ion chemistry (the chemistry of ions and neutrals in a vacuum).
MS is now in very common use in analytical laboratories that study physical, chemical, or biological properties of a great variety of compounds.

Hey friends...

Actually i knew that u all not really like me...
May be because of my attitude...
After we really recognize each other we have been quarrel for sometimes...
But i wan tell u all that i still take u all as my friends until now...

Sometime u all attitude i also cant really accept but i try my best to do it...
Every time we gather with each other, i will fell that i am the extra one among u all...so...sometime i dont wan go out with u all girls...if i can choose...so sorry...i wont like to tell u all about true...

Times time i write my voice out not mean that i wan the attention from u all...
But i just wan to improve our friendship...

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP!?

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.

Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.

Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

POEM:

FRIENDS
A friend is a person
to laugh and cry with,
An inspiration,
Someone who lends a helping hand,
though friends may not be forever,
And they may not end up together,
the memories of a true friendship will
last forever.
A friend is not a shadow nor a servant
But someone who hold
a piece of a person in his heart.
Someone who shares a smile,
Someone who brightens up your day
What makes a person a friend?
Is by saying your Love will stay.

THOUGHT FOR FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is not just the name of an ordinary feeling. but it is the name of the feelings of understanding, honesty and frankness between two persons. and these feelings keep the two very special persons bounded together and such a friendship lies in two of us.

HAIZ ~~

Hang out...

哇!syok a.....
